TEXTURED HAND LOOMED RUGS
From this exotic land, we have focused on the particular weaving skills of the various regions throughout central and southern India. Textured weaves, coarse yarns and “pit loomed” hand woven rugs are a traditional product made the same way for centuries. We only work with one factory for this product because they have stepped forward into modern times and taken the old loom construction and updated it so workers are no longer actually sitting in ‘pits' dug into the cold, hard ground, but are seated on clean, well lit benches working on their looms. In addition to the beauty of the texture of these traditional loomed rugs, we've added embroidery and applique, creating exciting new possibilities of color and layers of texture.
CHENILLE ACCENT RUGS
Woven with soft, high twist chenille yarns and blends, these are versatile accent rugs presented with textured patterns, embroidered borders and surface embroidery and applique features. Presented primarily in soft hues and natural shades, these simple weaves coordinate with most home furnishing products.
WOOL AND COTTON BERBER RUGS
Unique, playful and able to transition from a contemporary room to a country setting, these Berber loop rugs are updated with new, sophisticated yarns such as crinkled nylon and soft wool fibers. Ranging from “fat” and loopy to small, tight loop weaves, this is a versatile look with modern day appeal.
